Getting started with Quite Imposing Plus (Windows)

1. Make sure you have what you need

You should have a disk or folder containing Quite Imposing Plus
for Windows, and unless you only want to run a demonstration,
you should have a your personal serial number and private code.
You should be running Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0 (or later).
You should have installed the full commercial Acrobat 3.0 or 4.0
package. Make sure Acrobat is not running.

2. Find the plug-ins folder

Starting with your My Computer icon, locate the folder
containing Acrobat Exchange plug-ins. If you haven't changed
the default it will be c:\acrobat3\exchange\plug_ins for Acrobat
3.0, or c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 4.0\acrobat\plug_ins for
Acrobat 4.0.

3. Copy the plug-in and guide

Open the folder containing Quite Imposing Plus. On the original
Quite CDROM this is English\Products\Quite Imposing Plus.
Drag the two QIPLUS32 files (these may both appear to be
called qiplus32, or they may show up as qiplus32.api and
qiplus32.pdf) from the disk into the plug-ins folder.
Note: you must drag these two files...do not drag the whole
folder.

4. Start Acrobat (Exchange)

If all is well, you will now have a new menu item Plug-ins >
Quite Imposing Plus > Imposition control panel. Run this and,
unless you are already a licensed user, you will see a screen
About Quite Imposing Plus. Click Run Demo to proceed, or Guide
to start reading the online guide.

If you want to stop using the plug-in simply remove the two
QIPLUS32 files you copied above. If you are not using any other
Quite Software plug-ins you can also remove the folder Quite
which will have been created in your plug-ins folder.
